Welcome to the place for information on your SMEA along with education news in Minnesota and the country.

SMEA is an organization of 82 members from the public schools located in the towns of Motley and Staples:  Motley Elementary School, Motley Staples Middle School, Staples Elementary School, and Staples Motley High School.

Our membership is involved in the guidance of student learning from the early childhood years until graduation from high school.  We aim to keep our membership aware of and informed about educational issues on various levels from different domains.  Exerting a collective and positive influence on education in the community is one of our purposes.

Our commitment to pubic education, leadership in education and teaching, the families in the communities, and to the welfare of our membership is strong.

We believe in working together to build up capable professionals who make a difference in the lives of others.
